Welcome to Fairfax County

Board of Supervisors Chairman Gerald E. Connolly (D) said he wants signs welcoming people when they drive into Fairfax.
"While our towns and several unincorporated areas have such signs welcoming people, there are currently no signs welcoming visitors to Fairfax County," Connolly told his colleagues at Monday's board meeting.
At Connolly's request, the board asked the county Convention and Visitors Corp. to look into the possibility of installing "Welcome to Fairfax County" signs at key roadway entrances to the county.
