Plane Pull Today at Dulles

The annual plane pull and Dulles Day family festival will be held today at Dulles International Airport.

The tug of war with an airplane raises money for Special Olympics Virginia. Other activities include live music, a car show, a kids bus pull, games and food.
The Metropolitan Washington AirportsÖ Authority police department sponsors the event, which pits teams of 20 people against a 150,000-pound plane supplied by FedEx. Teams donate $1,000 each to Special Olympics Virginia.
Hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission and parking are free. For more information, call 703-359-4301 or visit
