Groundbreaking Saturday for Crosspointe Fire Station
The Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department will conduct a groundbreaking ceremony at 11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 5 for Crosspointe Fire and Rescue Station 41.

The station will staff 51 personnel on three separate shifts. Anticipated staffing and apparatus include an engine, advanced life support unit, ladder truck. The station will be approximately 14,600 square feet.
The station will be the second fire and rescue station built using "green building design" or "sustainable" materials as part of the Leadership in Energy and Environment Design (LEED) Program. The station will cost approximately 9.4 million and will be built by the American Property Company.Â
The architect is Samaha Associates, PC.
The station is scheduled to be completed in January of 2007.
