Trader Joe's Opens Today in Centreville

From yesterday's Fairfax Extra:

Centreville residents craving aronia berry juice or in desperate need of European-style butter will have a convenient solution beginning tomorrow, when a new Trader Joe's opens its doors at 14100 Lee Hwy., in the Newgate Shopping Center.

The specialty grocery chain's quick-preparation gourmet products have a lot of appeal to time-crunched Northern Virginians who desire something more than the usual frozen dinner but don't want to spend much time in the kitchen.

The store, which is decorated with murals of historic place in the Centreville area, is the seventh Trader Joe's in Northern Virginia.

"In that region of Northern Virginia, customers have been so welcoming to us," said company spokeswoman Alison Mochizuki. "We like to go into areas in which there are a lot of foodies."

Store manager Perry Zettersten will conduct a ceremonial lei-cutting at 9 a.m.
