Five Dead in Violent Christmas Shootings in County

Four people were shot and killed today. At approximately 10:25 a.m. officers responded to the 10700 block of Sycamore Springs Lane in the Great Falls area after a citizen reported shots being fired at a house. One 20-year-old resident came out of the house when police arrived. The police tactical unit went into the house and found the bodies of three men and one female. Police believe the suspect was one of the dead. An Animal Control officer took two dogs from the house. One of the dogs had been shot several times.

Investigation revealed that a woman was killed at a house in the 8500 block of Lewinsville Road in the Tysons Corner area. The same suspect appears to be responsible for all of the deaths. The investigation continues
