Builders and Contractors Largest Contributors To Key Lawmakers

A Washington Post analysis of contributions to members of two key committees in the Virginia General Assembly revealed that developers, builders and real estate agents contributed about $1.4 million in campaign money over the last ten years. The committees, the Senate Local Government Committee and the House Counties, Cities and Towns Committee, both have track records of dismissing controlled-growth bills that have come before them.
