888 Sober Mount Vernon Drivers

Mount Vernon District DWI Checkpoint Results

Fairfax County police officers from the Mount Vernon District Station conducted a sobriety checkpoint from 11 p.m. Friday, February 10 to 2 a.m. Saturday. All motorists were stopped, and the drivers were checked to assure their abilities to drive had not been impaired by alcohol or drugs. Approximately 888 cars passed through the checkpoint conducted near 6130 Richmond Highway. One motorist was arrested for possession of false identification, six were arrested for driving without a license and one was arrested for driving on a suspended license.

Sully District DWI Checkpoint Results

Fairfax County police officers from the Sully District Station conducted a sobriety checkpoint from 11 p.m. Thursday, February 9 to 2 a.m. Friday. All motorists were stopped, and the drivers were checked to assure their abilities to drive had not been impaired by alcohol or drugs. Approximately 243 cars passed through the checkpoint conducted on Lee Highway at Union Mill Road. One motorist was arrested for driving while intoxicated and one motorist was cited for driving without a license. A third motorist was arrested for possession of a gun by a convicted felon and driving on a suspended license.
