Herring Wins 33rd District Senate Seat

Mark R. Herring, the Democratic candidate and former Loudoun County supervisor, defeated current Republican supervisor Mick Staton Jr. for the state Senate seat vacated by William C. Mims, now the state's chief deputy attorney general. The district includes most of Loudon County and nine precincts in western Fairfax County.
