More Time to Dispute Tax Bills

From today's Washington Post:

Fairfax County homeowners who are unhappy with their real estate tax assessments have until April 30 to appeal them, the Board of Supervisors decided Monday.

The board also said it would consider a system of automatic appeals starting next year for residents whose house values jump by 50 percent or more.

As of Friday, 984 homeowners had filed appeals, officials said.
