The Fairfax County Board of Supervisors approved a spending plan that includes one of the lowest property tax rates in the modern history of the county. Vote was 9-1. Even so, the cut will not be enough to offset the increases in assessed values that will have most homeowners paying more in tax again this year. An article from Saturday's paper outlined the plan the Supervisors approved.
