Dangerous Drivers Targeted; Does It Do Good?

This happens every time a holiday comes up, and the population of speeders and aggressive drivers just seems to grow. Will this time help? Today's Metro section reports that 90 law enforcement agencies in Virginia, Maryland, the District of Columbia and Pennsylvania will be targeting speeders and aggressive drivers this summer as part of the Smooth Operator Program. The public safety program steps up enforcement in four-week waves when officers are redeployed to target areas where violations are most frequent.
