Fairfax To Reconsider Rules for Variances

Frustrated by rules for variances to allow additions? Take a look at Sunday's Metro section and the report that the county is reluctant to grant variances because in 2004, the Virginia Supreme Court determined that they were being handed out too freely. This month the Board will look into a proposal that would grant homeowners a special permit or special exception instead of a variance.
