An article in today's Metro details the arguments for and the $2.4 million dollar proposal which its critics say would divert necessary funds from schools, public safety and human services.

Fairfax County Board of Supervisors Chairman Gerry Connolly (D) said on Friday, "Local government is mad as a hornet" about the lack of funds in the state's spending bill to fix Northern Virginia's transportation problems. But according to this article, given the lack of state funds, there is little consensus on how to get the needed money for fixes.
