Pedestrian Deaths Already Exceed 2005 Totals

In the first nine months of this year, a dozen pedestrians have been killed on Fairfax roads. According to this Fairfax Extra article, 11 of the 12 who died were crossing street improperly and the minority population is disproportionately represented among the casualties. Ten pedestrians were killed in the calendar year 2005. A link to information about the county's pedestrian program is here.
