Sully Officers Honored; New Details of Shootout Released

Slain Fairfax County Police officers Michael E. Garbarino and Vicky O. Armel will receive posthumous gold medals of valor from the Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce as part of the chamber's annual Valor Awards. The announcement was made yesterday even as new details about the May shootout at the Sully police station were released. The story is in today's Metro section.
