Rebel Spy's Herndon Area Home Gets Landmark Status
The home of Laura Ratcliffe who made a name for herself during the Civil War by keeping the Confederate officers informed of Union troop movements, was listed last month on the National Register of Historic Places. Here's a link to some local history, in today's Fairfax Extra.
