More Than 3,200 New Students Projected From Belvoir Expansion

Fairfax County Public Schools will need to prepare for an influx of 3,200 new students because of the Fort Belvoir BRAC expansion, according to estimates from the U.S. Army. Board of Supervisors Chairman Gerald E. Connolly (D) said he expects the U.S. Government to share the costs of new school construction and other expenses associated with the sudden increase in the number of schoolchildren.
