Woodson Grad McCandless ("Into the Wild") Recalled

Chris McCandless, a former runner at Woodson High and the subject of the book "Into The Wild" by Jon Krakauer and a new film of the same name from director Sean Penn, is remembered in today's Varsity Letter column in the Fairfax Extra. McCandless died, likely from starvation, in 1992 after deciding to live alone in the Alaskan wilderness.
