Graham Road Elementary School: Fix It Up or Move It?

There is debate about whether to repair the small and crumbling, but high achieving, Graham Road Elementary School near Falls Church. Some say that the school would be better off on a larger lot in a more residential neighborhood north of its current location -- a place where it might also attract some more middle-income families within the school's attendance boundaries -- and others think moving the school would negatively affect some of the immigrant and low-income families who live close to it and have fewer private transportation options.
