Here Comes Fashion Week

Fashion weeks in New York, Milan and Paris provide an opportunity for designers to unveil their newest collections in front of an audience of retailers, editors and celebrities. Gorgeous clothes come down the runways.
So do quite a few bad ideas. I'll be writing my usual reports detailing both from New York and Europe.

But a lot happens off the catwalks, too. Photographers rush to snap pictures of invited celebrities. There's always some sort of seating drama in which two adults get into a hissy fit over who should be sitting where.
And there are plenty of the he-said/she-said, overheard comments and juicy tidbits that get passed along without any names attached.

For fall 2006, I'll be blogging about the things that happen outside the spotlight and the little details that so often end up on the cutting room floor.
