LinkedIn goes down after IPO talk

The professional social networking site, LinkedIn showed a 404 Not Found error on its site on Thursday afternoon for about an hour, prompting a flurry of aggravated Tweets. The Web site went back up around 1:30 p.m, with no apparent data loss.
There's no word on what made the site go down. LinkedIn has been upgrading its data center over the past month, but it has been letting users know about scheduled downtime.
The company has been in the news Thursday after Reuters reported that the company may gopublic in 2011.
