Facebook Deals makes its European debut

By Hayley Tsukayama

Facebook has launched its Deals feature in the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy and Spain, according to the BBC.

As Techrader reported, several prominent businesses have jumped on the Facebook Deals bandwagon with great offers. Mazda, for example, will be giving away five free cars for five months.

Other companies participating in the U.K. launch of Facebook Deals include Starbucks, the mobile network 02 and various charities.

Facebook Deals launched in the U.S. in November. It offers deals based on Facebook Places check-ins and also lets friends recommend deals to one another.

On Jan. 27, Facebook updated its Android app to support Deals, which had previously only worked on its mobile Web site and iPhone app.
