iPad newspaper The Daily expected to launch on Feb. 2

By Hayley Tsukayama

News Corp. CEO Rupert Murdoch and Apple Vice President of Internet Services Eddy Cue will be in New York on Feb. 2 to kick off the iPad newspaper, The Daily. The two men will debut the new project at the Solomon Guggenheim Museum in New York.

The Daily had been set to premiere in San Francisco on Jan. 19, but was delayed by technical issues.

News Corp's James Murdoch confirmed that The Daily will cost 99 cents per week.

Invitations to the launch event went out to journalists on Thursday.

Apple co-founder Steve Jobs was supposed to be at the January launch before announcing that he would step down as chief executive while on medical leave.
