Federal Workers Give Gov. Jobs Thumbs Up

Eight times since 1983, the Merit Systems Protection Board has surveyed federal workers on such things as employee satisfaction. The agency summarizes the 25 years of research in a new report, “The Federal Government: A Model Employer or a Work In Progress?”

No matter how much they enjoy their jobs, it’s a safe bet that most of the workers would say “work in progress” is the correct answer.

The survey found that the vast majority of federal employees, 76 percent, would recommend the government as a good place to work, at least in part because of the good benefits. On the other hand, the workers aren’t crazy about their bosses. “Effective supervision is critical, but remains elusive,” says the report.

Sounds great. Was this survey given to NSPS employees? I don't know anyone who is satisfied with this sham of a system.
