Want to be a Diplomat?

Want to be a diplomat?

If so, try to get to the State Department this evening. It's holding a networking reception and career information session for mid-career professions from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Director General Harry K. Thomas, of the department’s Bureau of Human Resources, as well as ambassadors, diplomats, and civil service professionals, will discuss why State needs an inclusive workforce for diplomacy in the 21st century. The location is Harry S Truman Building, 2201 C Street NW.

What does "Yeah, right" mean? That they're having the function and you're agreeing? Or that you're cynical about the function? Or that you're cynical about diplomacy?
