OPM Releases Benefits Letter

Under last month's reauthorization of the Children’s Health Insurance Program, states can subsidize health insurance premium payments for certain low-income children who have access to employer-sponsored health insurance coverage, including those under the Federal Employees Health Benefits program.

The Office of Personnel Management today released a "benefits administration letter" that explains changes in the program. Those changes include new enrollment opportunities. The letter is pretty dry reading, but it might be important if you are eligible for the program.

You can find the letter here: http://media.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/politics/documents/opm_letter_health_benefits_changes_032409.pdf
