Ask Your Government!

By Ed O'Keefe

If you had the opportunity to ask a question of the president or a government department or agency, what would you ask?

Last week the Obama-Biden transition team began using a new Google tool called Google Moderator allowing citizens to submit questions to the Moderator tool. Participating Google users then can vote on what they consider to be the best questions asked. Those questions will will be posed to members of the transition team, who are expected to answer those questions through Inauguration Day.

Now The Eye wants to try something similar!

Join The Federal Eye's "Ask The Federal Government" Google Moderator group and submit a question. The Eye will then pick the top question every week to 10 days, get an answer to the question and post it here in the blog. (Learn more about this in the video above.)

One important part of The Federal Eye's mission is to interact regularly with readers of the blog and of The Post's Federal government news. Here's hoping this new experiment is a step in that direction.
