The Post Politics Program: Chu, Richardson, 'State of Play'

By Ed O'Keefe

In addition to reporting duties for Federal Eye and the pages of The Washington Post, The Eye, co-hosts the weekly "Post Politics Program" that airs Saturdays on Sirius/XM's POTUS political channel. It's a 30-minute review of national political matters as reported and analyzed by reporters, editors, columnists, bloggers and contributors of The Washington Post.

This week we kick off with clips from Lois Romano's wide-ranging interview with Energy Secretary Steven Chu, then hear from Philip Rucker and New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson's recent conversation about his life since dropping out of consideration for commerce secretary. We close by speaking with Post editor R.B. Brenner about his role as a consultant on the new Hollywood blockbuster "State of Play." The film's actors and director consulted Brenner who, on behalf of The Post, made sure the script, scenes, sets and actor's mannerisms gelled with the general look, feel and mission of a Washington reporter.

"The Post Politics Program with Ed O'Keefe and Emily Kotecki" airs Saturdays at 9 a.m., 3 p.m. and 9 p.m. ET and Sundays at 3 a.m. ET on Sirius Channel 110, XM Channel 130. If you don't have satellite radio, listen to the show in the audio player above or download the podcast version on iTunes.
