Big Federal Job and Internship Fair in July

By Ed O'Keefe

They might not bring signs like this, but several federal government recruiters are expected at a big mid-July job and internship fair.

Dust off the resume: The Partnership for Public Service will hold its annual "mega" federal job and internship fair July 16 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the National Building Museum.

Expect dozens of agencies and thousands of applicants seeking federal opportunities. Last year's event drew 67 federal agencies, and organizers anticipate a much larger response amid the economic downturn and increased government hiring.

Interested job applicants and students seeking internships register here.

Interested agencies must register by July 3. Agencies that register before June 19 get a special discount.

Intelligence community recruiters will hold three informational sessions at the event, including a general overview and the application and security clearances processes.
