Navy Secretary Ray Mabus will appear on an upcoming episode of the CBS drama "NCIS," the network announced Monday.
Mabus will play an NCIS investigator during the show's Thanksgiving Day-themed episode, airing on Nov. 24. He visited the show's Los Angeles-area set two weeks ago to film his scenes, according to the network.
The first real-life government official to appear on the show was former NCIS Director Thomas A. Betro, who starred in an Oct. 2007 episode called "Identity Crisis."
