State Department's Katie Stanton moves to Twitter

Katie Jacobs Stanton, a special adviser at the State Department and former White House staffer and Googler, is heading to Twitter to work on international business strategy.
Stanton announced her move to the social information platform’s San Francisco’s office -- how else? -- by tweet.
“Today's my last day in govt! Have enjoyed my experiences @whitehouse & @statedept. My next adventure will be @twitter in SF! #CAHereICome!,” Stanton tweeted in the early morning on Friday.
In a Twitter message, Stanton told me she'll be a vice president driving Twitter's international business strategy and operations and will start in August. Her move to business strategy is a homecoming of sorts. Stanton worked at Google as a product manager for the search engine’s finance application.
