The Eye vacations, but a colleague steps in

The Federal Eye's two-week summer vacation begins on Tuesday, but have no fear! I'm leaving you in the hands of colleague Lisa Rein, the newest member of the Fed Page/Federal Worker beat.

Lisa most recently covered regional development and transportation issues and previously covered the Virginia and Maryland State Houses for The Post. She'll prepare a morning Eye Opener and provide updates on other breaking news. Keep her informed with your tips, notices and press releases by e-mailing reinl@washpost.com.

Colleague Joe Davidson may jump in with updates and early feeds from his Federal Diary column, and other colleagues from across the newsroom also will contribute.
