Senate panel plans hearings next week on 'don't ask, don't tell'

By Ed O'Keefe

The Senate Armed Services Committee will hold two days of hearings next week after the release of the Pentagon's report on how the military could end the "don't ask, don't tell" policy.

The panel, led by Chairman Carl Levin (D-Mich.) and ranking member Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), will hear from Defense Secretary Robert M. Gates; Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Adm. Mike Mullen; and the co- chairmen of the Pentagon Working Group, Defense Department General Counsel Jeh Johnson and Army Gen. Carter Ham on Thursday.

The next day, in a nod to McCain's wishes to hear from the military's top brass on the issue, the committee will hear testimony from Joint Chiefs of Staff Vice Chairman Gen. James E. Cartwright, Army Chief of Staff Gen. George W. Casey Jr., Naval Chief of Operations Adm. Gary Roughhead, Marine Commandant Gen. James F. Amos and Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. Norton A. Schwartz.

Friday's hearings could make public the concerns of top leaders. Attention will focus especially on the Marines' Cartwright and Amos, who lead service members who reportedly are the most concerned about ending the ban, according to sources who shared details of the forthcoming report with The Washington Post.

The long-anticipated release of Johnson and Ham's report on Tuesday, coupled with two days of hearings, could prompt the 10 moderate senators from both parties to decide whether they will vote to approve the annual defense authorization bill that currently includes language ending the military's gay ban.

Last February, Gates ordered Johnson and Ham to lead a Pentagon study of how lifting the ban would affect troop morale and readiness.

In 1975 gay American hero, Oliver W. Sipple bravely saved the life of President Gerald R. Ford in San Francisco when he grabbed the hand of Sarah Jane Moore as she attempted to assassinate the president.

Sipple epitomized service in the eyes of many. However, simply because he was gay, his own parents and hometown of Detroit Michigan rejected this hero and disabled Vietnam veteran. Thirty-five years has come and gone and it is high time America honors this gay hero in a special and meaningful way.

We have a custom where we have placed the name of a prominent figure on a piece of newly enacted legislation when warranted. This is to honor or recognize certain individuals, whether living or dead, who have influenced our lives for the purpose of betterment.

I support honoring this hero by placing his name on the repeal of DADT or any legislation whereby current and future gay soldiers can serve openly and hopefully with the same spirit as Oliver Sipple.

Jarheads are supposed to be tough and fearless. Why, then, does their commander fear a guy who doesn't like girls? That guy, just like his straight warriors, would kill at the snap of a twig and never think twice. The truth may well be that some of the straight guys are just ignorant and afraid to admit it.

Sepmer Fi, you are all Marines and have trained together, fought together, and survived, so SHUT UP and SALUTE THE COLORS and MOVE OUT SMARTLY. No questions, Marines, just do your job.

And to Sen. McCain, get your ass in motion and get behind what most of America wants. Stop being a "fraidy cat".

I guess they don't like to admit that they like it in the ass.

Do your job- save lives-be a hero or heroine- just don't have parades bragging about your sexual activities, or tell me that someone who saved a President's life was/is a homosexual!
That's the crux of the DADT policy- SHUT UP! and do not openly tell us that you practice degenerate, destructive, disease spreading sexual acts!

Oliver W. Sipple was not the kind of homosexual that we have around us today. He was properly ashamed of his state of slavery, a fact testified to by the lawsuit that he started against seven major newspapers for spreading the news of his homosexuality across the nation. It was this one remaining sliver of sanity that allowed him to be used by God to deflect that gun. Homosexuals who are in a state of pride, cannot be so used. Pride goeth before the fall.

THE HOMOEXUAL WOMB IS
THE EXCREMENT CAVITY

Everybody knows this is true if they would only stop and think about. Every homosexual act is a Slam against God. What does it say about this obsession to ejaculate the God-Given seed of life, by which populations are renewed, into the excrement cavity? The message is quite clear.

Homosexuals call it love. Common sense calls it hate.

DADT is all about protecting privacy.

The vast majority of men and women in the military are heterosexuals. They're grouped together by sex and they don't have much privacy, but they do have privacy from those who could become sexually or romantically attracted to them. It's illegal to force a person at work to be naked in front of others who could become attracted to them.

That's what DADT is all about. Gays and lesbians can serve, provided they keep their sexuality to themselves. If a man begins ogling his fellow soldiers or a woman begins falling in love with her bunk-mate, then they must go... because the military must assure the privacy of its soldiers.

All that said, 14 percent of the military is female but 50 percent of the DADT discharges are female. That means the gays in the military issue is really all about lesbians in the military.

Here's what most young people think of DADT anyway:

Let's leave it in the past shall we?

YOUTH IS A GOOD THING,
BUT DEPTH OF UNDERSTANDING
IS MORE IMPORTANT IN AREAS
OF NATIONAL SECURITY AND
THE SURVIVAL OF A NATION

scathingres says, "Here's what most young people think of DADT anyway [video]"

Having been a young person myself at one time, I can say with substantial authority, as a general rule, noting that there are some exceptions, that young people do not have a very wide perspective on the world, on social issues, on military matters, and religious principles. While I appreciate this young person’s effort, and it was a good effort, initiative is a good thing, although better when channeled in the service of truth, this commentator's (scathingres) presentation just touches the most shallow points (although with significant enthusiasm).

But depth of understanding is what is required here.

To really understand homosexuality, and the destructive impact it has on any organization, the military included, you must go deeper. One must understand that homosexuality is a condition brought on by demon manipulation. The demonic presence has made a veritable sex-slave out of the vulnerable individual. The demonic presence has made the mind insensitive to the domain of divine truth. And the demonic presence has turned the individual's sense of moral norms upside down. This is the LAST kind of individual you would want in any position of responsibility. Especially in the military.

Don't anyone think that the men and women in the military should have any say on this issue. The military should have a vote on their thoughts on this issue because they are the ones that are affected by this!

EVERY HOMOSEXUAL ACT IS
A HATE CRIME AGAINST GOD

Everybody knows this is true if they would only stop and think about. Every homosexual act is a Slam against God.

What does it say about this obsession to EJACULATE the God-Given seed of life, by which populations are renewed, in which all hopes for the victory of mankind are invested, into the excrement cavity? The message is quite clear.

Homosexuals call it love. Common sense calls it HATE.

What does it say about this obsession to RECEIVE the God-Given seed of life, by which populations are renewed, in which all hopes for the victory of mankind are invested, into the excrement cavity? The message is quite clear.

Homosexuals call it love. Common sense calls it HATE.

Think about it. What is the message you send when you force the face of your enemy into a pile of excrement? This does not say, I love you. This does not say, I respect you. This does not say I adore you. It says, I Hate You, I Despise you, therefore eat [expletive deleted].

This is what the controlling demonic presence is saying to the Very Face of God in every homosexual act. Eat [expletive deleted].

All laws against sodomy were essentially our first form of hate crime legislation.

For an organization whose success depends on the intercession of Divine Providence, which is the case for the U.S. Military, it is wise to ban hate crimes against God within the ranks.

THE THREAT OF WAR

The threat of war appears on the very threshold of this upcoming effort to legalize open homosexuality within the very muscle structure of our national defense apparatus, the armed services themselves.

And this even in the midst of our Thanksgiving Day celebrations, to underscore America's forgetfulness and ingratitude.

This is a sign for America, that she is heading in the wrong direction.

Divine Providence has kept a cork in the bottle of North Korean insanity up this point. But the angels who have been sitting on that cork, have just got up, and moved aside. And out it pops. Again, a sign that America is moving in the wrong direction, a direction that the Lord God will not support.

How much of that bottle of hatred, anger, and fear will overflow, and spill out on the ground, only God knows.

If America wants to go her own way, regarding the Laws of God, the Lord God will go his own way.

If America thinks that she can do better without the assistance of Divine Providence in the area of national security, let the people come to their senses and quickly.

North Korea consciously and willfully fires more than 200 artillery shells into the body of our ally. Here is the sign that the days of American security, without the assistance of Divine Providence, will draw to an end for more quickly than anyone could have imagined.

Who is to say, that if America must intervene military in South Korea’s defense, that Red China will not return to form as well, even in the twinkling of an eye, as if we had time-traveled right back to 1953.

THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION WANTS TO
GIVE THE U.S. MILITARY A NEW MISSION

Do the American people, through their elected representatives, really desire to transform the U.S. Military into a scripture destroying institution?

Sacred Scripture says homosexuality is an abomination in the Sight of God. Yet, the U.S. Military is being set up to make the case that this scripture is not true. The U.S. Military is being set up to prove that homosexuality is a respectable lifestyle choice. The U.S. Military is being set up to use all the resources the American people have given them, and that only for the purpose of making war against our enemies, to instead, make war against the very moral foundation of our nation.

Just say NO, to this effort by the Obama administration to turn the U.S. Military into a scripture destroying institution.

Just say NO to the Obama administration’s effort to give the U.S. Military this new mission, to make WAR against the very Word of God.
