Headaches on the Horizon

Weeknight Metro Delays Metro's drawing closer to the major work that's scheduled over the Columbus Day weekend on the Green and Yellow lines. If you're heading out on the Metro system after 9:30 tonight, brace yourself for delays as the transit agency prepares. Plus, there is maintenance and repair work occurring on other lines. Trains in many locations will share one track: Green and Yellow lines: In preparation for the Columbus Day weekend station closures of Waterfront-SEU and Archives Navy Memorial-Penn Quarter stations and the Green and Yellow lines of L'Enfant Plaza Station, Green Line trains will share one track between Navy Yard and Mt. Vernon Sq/7th St-Convention Center stations, and Yellow Line trains will share one track between Pentagon City and Mt. Vernon Sq/7th St-Convention Center stations.
