Airport Screening
We're looking to talk to flyers today. We want to hear anything and everything about your experiences and especially if you were screened a second time at gates. Feel free to comment here or send an e-mail directly to me at ginsbergs@washpost.com.

Hey look, it's Steve Ginsberg. Is it safe to say that Dr. Gridlock has taken over the blog from you?

As you know, the Brits have banned carry-on baggage and have required that almost everything go in the hold. A friend of mine who lives near London and works for British Airways at Heathrow made the following very apt point:
"Anyone spot the irony in the situation today? After Lockerbie we have had it drummed into us 'No electronic items in the hold--must be in hand baggage because this improves security'. And today it is 'No electronic items in the cabin; must be in the hold because this improves security'."
