Gridlock Gets Worse
Okay folks. it's really bad now. Commuters apparently heeded the traffic gurus' suggestion to leave early and now there is about an eight-mile backup to Springfield for those approaching the Wilson Bridge.
Traffic is also heavy in Eisenhower Avenue as people bail out and try to avoid the Beltway.
Heading into Maryland, delays now extend from the exit for the Dulles Toll Road all the way around to Landover.
