New York Avenue Reopens

The District Department of Transportation says that all lanes have reopened on New York Avenue NE following the water main break that had shut some lanes since Monday.

The break occurred between Montana Avenue and Bladensburg Road. But after the initial break was repaired, a second break occurred in another section of the same pipe, DDOT said. Two eastbound lanes were closed so workers could fix the problem.
