Veterans Day Schedules
The transit authority always posts a very helpful list of the region's holiday transit plans. You'll find that listing not only for Metro but also for the suburban bus and trains systems by using this link.

Another year, another outrage at Metro! Saturday service is just NOT sufficient on holidays when many in the region have normal workdays (especially Veterans and Columbus Days).
A few years ago, Metro got the message and ran normal weekday service. Of course, that was overkill, but now they've gone right back to their woefully insufficient Saturday service.
It really seems that the agency is completely incapable or realizing that they need some sort of hybrid service. That is, perhaps Saturday headways during much of the day, but supplemented by extra service during rush hour. Just a few more trains would decrease headways to something intermediate.
But Metro can't seem to do that. They can't even manage to run 8-car trains on longer headways. Instead, they just assume Saturday service is fine and take the day off. Woeful.
