Commuter Alert: Major Delays Expected on Penn Line
Major delays and cancellations are expected on all Penn Line MARC trains this afternoon and this evening due to electrical system damage near Landover, the Maryland Transit Authority said.
Train 450 at 5:10 p.m. is canceled because of track conditions between Washington and Landover.
Trains 429 and 424 will be delayed in and out of Washington because of signal track operation.
Metro will honor MARC tickets to New Carrollton for those who wish to change their routing. Catenary wires, the overhead lines used to transmit electricity, were damaged by an Acela train, the MTA said.
