Parking Available at National Airport

One of the questions I was asked most frequently about today was, Will I be able to park
at Reagan National Airport?

The airport's parking facilities not only are next to the airport but also next to a Metrorail station, and parking for the trains was at a premium today.

The airport's Web site has a parking page that gives travelers the very latest on parking conditions at the garages and the economy lot. Look here for directions and alerts today. The times I checked today, there was plenty of parking.

At 5:45 p.m., there are almost 2,000 spaces of various kinds in the garage and more than 1,300 in the economy lot.

Anybody have trouble getting to the airport or parking there?

Tara Hamilton, spokeswoman for the airports authority, confirms that the lots and garages did not fill. She says there did appear to be more people coming to the Metro station at the airport and some may have parked. But others may have walked there, too.

Now there is off airport parking at the Sheraton Crystal City which is much less costly than the airport parking and free shuttle 24 hours a day. Check out AirportParkingReservations.com and get a guaranteed parking reservation at discounted rates. They also offer BWI and 0ver 250 parking facilities at more than 65 US and Canadian airports.
