Fairfax County Lifting Parking Restrictions on Tuesday
For Inauguration Day, the Fairfax County police will waive the Residential Permit Parking restrictions, starting at 3 a.m.Tuesday and ending at 3 a.m. Wednesday.
On the other hand, police say they will monitor the traffic flow from the ramps coming from the Capital Beltway onto primary roads where gridlock is most likely. If they see traffic building up there, they may close off some ramps.
In fact, that will be the case all around the Beltway on Tuesday. Police in Maryland as well as Virginia could close highway ramps at any time they think traffic threatens to jam local roads.
