Ice, Accidents Make for Slow Morning Commute
Icy roads have created hazardous driving conditions across the region.
Traffic on I-270 is particularly slow after a ten-car pileup on the southbound lanes of I-270 closed a ramp from the highway onto the Capitol Beltway. Read the full report here.
Check the live traffic page to see an update of the roads on your commute.

K Street is a mess because H Street is closed along the same area where Clinton shut down Pennsylvania Avenue. The reason is that the Obamas are staying at the Hay-Adams. Nice job by the government to take away E Street, Pennsylvania Avenue, AND H Street, all major crosstown routes.

This entire week has been especially bad for commuters. K Street looks like a parking lot. Last night Pennsylvania Avenue was blocked off between the White House and the Capitol at rush hour; traffic was rerouted to Constitution or Mass Ave. This is two weeks before Jan. 20. What's going on? BTW, on Jan. 20 I plan to stay home, doors locked, curtains drawn, TV and radio off. I'm sick of this dog and pony show already.
