Judiciary Square Entrance to Close at 4 p.m.
Secret Service just asked Metro to close one of the Judiciary Square station entrances at 4 p.m. today, three hours earlier than they had previously informed Metro. The F Street entrance was scheduled to close at 7 p.m. for an event tonight at the National Building Museum. The early closing is likely to cause much larger crowds at nearby Gallery Place, where a children's concert is scheduled for tonight at the Verizon Center, two short blocks away.
Metro spokeswoman Lisa Farbstein said: "This is an example of something that we cannot control that could impact us on Tuesday -- when streets or stations are closed/blocked for security that we were not able to share in advance with our customers." This is why riders need to be patient she said.
