Two Fires Close Parts of North Capitol Street
Two building fires in Northwest have closed parts of North Capitol Street and killed at least one person this morning.
One fire is reported at at 2220 North Capitol Street, NW. Another fire is burning eight blocks away at 11 Randolph Place NW, according to Channel 8 reports.
While North Capitol is closed from Michigan to Rhode Island Avenues and from Randolph Street to Rhode Island Avenue, motorists are asked to avoid both directions of the roadway.
