Columbia Rd. Traffic Resumes After Manhole Incident
Several manholes exploded about 12:30 p.m. today on a Northwest Washington street, apparently the result of a transformer that failed, D.C. officials said.
No injuries were reported in the blasts along the 1800 block of Columbia Road NW. Traffic was disrupted for a short while but is now back to normal, according to officials. PEPCO is working on repairs.
