Does that mean HOV enforcement is being suspended this afternoon, or are cars that enter to avoid the blockage setting themselves up for a ticket in Springfield?

Waiving HOV requirements in these situations won't be possible when the lanes are converted to HOT lanes. One can only imagine what the tolls would be.

I'm more opposed to HOT lanes on 395-95 than the beltway because the lanes on 395-95 already exist.

It's 3:15, I just checked trafficland.com for the Wash Blvd and Rt. 27 cameras, and there is no backup or road block. What is this about?

WTOP isn't reporting it nor are the camera showing anything. What's going on?

Check the Seminary Road camera...the left lane appears to be blocked by some VDOT trucks, hard to see why though.

You really think he's encouraging drivers to use the HOV lane at the risk of getting a ticket? Perhaps he got word of the waiver from the Virginia officials.

A mind is a terrible thing to waste.

I don't see a backup at Washington Blvd. on any traffic cams. Hopefully everyone will try to take an alternate route home and 395 S will be wide open!!

only thing I see is this:

I-395 SB after Seminary Road:
Incident: A PICKUP TRUCK TOWING A TRAILER IS STOPPED IN THE LEFT LANE - THE TRAILER LOST A TIRE. VDOT IS WITH IT. DELAYS BEGIN BEFORE KING ST.

This incident appears to have been relatively short-lived.

Thanks for your comments.
