Accident on I-95 Southbound near Quantico

* Get Alerts | Weekend Tips | Live Map | Weather *

According to our online traffic service, there's an accident on I-95 Southbound before Quantico Marine Corps Base. Virginia State Police said an accident occurred one mile north of Route 619 at 9:30 a.m., and all lanes should be open as of 10:25 a.m., according to Dorothy Bernstein, public relations coordinator.

According to the online service, traffic slows after Dale Blvd. (around exit 156), and now they are reporting another accident in the backup before the original accident. Awaiting for confirmation on that.

Virginia State Police confirm a two-vehicle crash on I-95 Southbound at the 154 marker, near the scales. No injuries are reported, though there were injuries in the first crash. This accident might be due to backup from the first one, and they don't know yet when it'll be cleared. (According to the traffic service, it's slow from the Prince William Parkway, exit 158.)
