Traffic Alert: 2 Events to Snarl Verizon Center Area

Motorists should expect heavy traffic tonight around the Verizon Center because of the Washington Capitals playoff game and a police memorial.

The hockey game begins at 7 p.m. at the stadium.

The National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial begins at 8 p.m. near Judiciary Square station. F Street NW and E Street NW will be closed to traffic between 3rd Street NW and 5th Street NW for the event.
