Maryland update -- Route 404 open, Route 50 slow

At 4p.m., on the cusp of rush hour, let's check in on Maryland....
-- Route 404 opened at 2:45 p.m. and is running much better, according to Maryland State Highway Administration spokesman David Buck.
-- Route 50 between Route 97 and the Seven River Bridge is pretty slow -- it's generally a bottleneck, and a presidential motorcade doesn't help much.
Meanwhile, the Bay Bridge is -- cross your fingers -- still running smoothly. My apologies if merely posting this creates a five hour delay.
