SB Fairfax County Parkway Reopens
Update, 11:39 a.m.: The southbound lanes of Fairfax County Parkway from Lee Highway to Popes Head Road are now open.
Original post: 10:03 a.m.: The southbound lanes of Fairfax County Pkwy. have been closed by a large diesel fuel spill. The parkway is closed from Lee Highway to Popes Head Road until VDOT arrives with absorbent. Fire and police crews are on the scene. The area is extremely hazardous and vehicles are sliding on the roadway. The northbound lanes of Fairfax County Parkway are open.
